Sam · Your Guide
Sam was born and raised in Arusha, at the foot of Mount Meru. With many years of guiding experience across northern Tanzania, he reads the movement of the wildlife and knows the hidden corners of the territory that most itineraries pass by.
He's licensed, and chosen for his ability to think on his feet, not recite a script. He speaks Spanish, Italian, English, Chinese and Swahili, and is certified in first aid, so communication and safety are never left to chance.
Your guide stays with you through all the journey, reading tracks at dawn and anticipating where the herds will move.
The vehicle
A Land Cruiser built for long, slow days
Pop-up roof and wide windows
Every seat is a window seat, and the whole roof opens.
Four guests maximum
A seven-seat vehicle used by no more than four, so nobody sits in the middle.
Power and cold storage
Inverter, charging points at each seat, and a refrigerator for water and wine.
Optics and blankets
Binoculars for everyone and warm blankets for early mornings.
Radio and first aid
Long-range radio and a first-aid kit checked before every departure.
