Legal

Terms and conditions

These conditions govern the booking of the journeys organised by Hodari Empresa Limited and apply together with the written quotation issued for each trip.

Scope

These conditions govern the booking of journeys organised by Hodari Empresa Limited, a company registered in Tanzania with its registered office in Arusha.

Quotations and prices

Prices are per person, based on two adults sharing, include VAT and are indicative until availability is confirmed. A firm price is confirmed in writing in the quotation.

Booking and payment

To confirm a booking, a non refundable deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is payable within 72 hours of confirmation. For travel during the festive season, from 20 December to 10 January, the deposit is 40%. For selected properties a deposit of 50% may apply, as confirmed in the quotation.

The balance is due 97 days before arrival, or 127 days before arrival for festive season travel. For bookings made closer to departure, the full amount is payable at the time of confirmation.

Cancellation

The deposit is non refundable in all cases. The charges applicable depending on how far in advance the booking is cancelled are those published on our Booking and payment page, and cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Booking and payment

Changes

If a lodge becomes unavailable, Hodari may replace it with an alternative of a similar standard from its own collection, informing the traveller in advance. Itineraries may be adjusted on the ground for safety, weather, road or wildlife conditions.

What is included and not included

The services included and not included are those stated in each journey and in the quotation. International flights, visas and travel insurance are not included.

Traveller obligations

Travellers are responsible for holding a valid passport, the necessary visas and any recommended vaccinations, and for arranging comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation and cancellation, which Hodari strongly recommends.

Liability

Hodari organises the journeys and selects its suppliers with care. Hodari is not liable for events beyond its reasonable control, including force majeure, natural events, strikes, government decisions, flight delays or cancellations, or the acts of third party suppliers. The above is without prejudice to any rights granted to the traveller by applicable law.

Complaints

Any complaint should be raised during the journey so that it can be resolved, and in writing to info@hodaritravel.com afterwards.

Applicable law

These conditions are governed by the law of Tanzania, where the company is registered.
